We are a non profit, no kill animal rescue in Charlotte NC. If you have any questions or would like to learn more about our services, please don't hesitate to contact us. Together, we can give every pet the chance for a happy, healthy, and loving new home. Together, we strive to raise awareness about this autoimmune disease, improve access to effective treatments, and ultimately find a cure. With your help, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by RA. The most important part of this process is to TAKE TIME.
Adopt
We can help keep tensions down by management of resources. Ensure there are more than enough to go around and no one dog hoards or guards valued items. If certain things are highly coveted, they are best given when the dogs are easily separated into rooms or crates. If the dogs have not shown hostility when meeting and everyone is relaxed, it is time to take them to an enclosed area, drop their leashes, and give them some space so they can get to know each other. Human interference at this point is only necessary in a few circumstances. If the dogs become overexcited in their play, we can help by asking them to settle or separating and walking them apart a moment until they relax.

At Tranquility Sanctuary, we take the safety and wellbeing of your pets very seriously. That's why we are proud to let our clients know that all of our staff are CPR certified. This means that we are trained to respond quickly and effectively in the event of an emergency. We are dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
Many of our animals come from high-kill shelters and other rescue situations. We find that fostering gives us the opportunity to assess the animal's personality and needs. This allows us to best match them with the right adoptive family. Also, we are able to provide all care and medical needs for our animals. It enables the animal to develop a happy frame of mind before adoption. We have many wonderful animals looking for a forever home.
Step 1: Find an Animal
To improve the quality of life of homeless animals through veterinary care, foster care, humane education, and spay/neuter programs. The Humane Society of Charlotte believes in working to improve our community by creating new, loving families, and building a world where there are no more homeless and unwanted animals. This is an ongoing process — for every animal we can connect with a new family, another animal in need comes to HSC’s shelter. As a private, 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the HSC relies on the generous support of animal lovers, grants, bequests, and fees for service.

South Charlotte Dog Rescue (SCDR) is a non-profit, no-kill, volunteer dog rescue organization serving the South Charlotte, NC area. SCDR has observed a great need in our community to rescue, foster, provide medical care and love for the unwanted, homeless, neglected and abused animals we so often see. We are an all-volunteer based 501c3 nonprofit animal rescue centrally located in the greater Charlotte NC area. Our dedicated volunteers are devoted to helping abandoned and abused cats and dogs find loving homes. Carolina P.A.W.S. volunteers can be found "in the trenches," rescuing animals at high risk - those starving on the streets, languishing in shelters, and suffering in abusive situations. Each animal has a different past but our promise to them all is the same…a second chance.
Our team of dedicated animal lovers is committed to ensuring that every pet is treated with kindness, compassion, and respect throughout the rehoming process. To meet the dogs eligible for this program, you must come to the shelter to see/visit/adopt. No animals will be placed on hold if you call/email/text/chat/message on social channels.
